Alternatives Assessment Methodology Development for AB 1879 California Green Chemistry Initiative’s Safer Consumer Product Regulations

Dr. Blake is a key member of a team at UCLA STPP which received funding from the Public Health Trust (PHT) to develop alternatives assessment methodologies in a regulatory framework. PHT describes the project as follows: Sustainable Technology and Policy Program, UCLA will bring together experts in toxicology, alternatives assessment, decision analysis and policy to develop regulatory alternatives analysis methodologies. The program will also create practical software tools for identifying safer substitutes for consumer products that contain chemical hazards.
