Dr. Megan Schwarzman and Dr. Heather Buckley of the UC Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry and Department of Civil Engineering and Department of the University of Victoria have published an article in the Journal Of Chemical Education describing the now eight-year-old wildly successful course, Greener Solutions, which pairs cross-disciplinary graduate students in chemistry, environmental health and engineering with industry partners to solve real world problems through a systems approach, alternatives assessment, green chemistry and bio-inspired design.
