Local and Regional Planning for Climate Resilience

As a member of Citizen’s Action for Sustainable Alameda (CASA)’s Steering Committee, EPHC’s Dr. Ann Blake hosted an event in April 2018 for a group of individuals interested in local and regional planning for climate resilience in the San Francisco Bay Area, utilizing Ketso, a stakeholder engagement tool created by Dr. Joanne Tippett of the University of Manchester. Our conversations have subsequently fed into CASA’s work on the City of Alameda’s Climate Action Plan, which will include both mitigation and adaptation strategies. We are also exploring opportunities for Alameda to lead on carbon drawdown strategies that can be achieved in an urban context.

Dr. Tippett describes the detailed results of our conversations in her blog on the Ketso website.
