On July 27, 2012, the long-awaited California Safer Consumer Product regulations have been issued in final draft. This is the culmination of a four year process of stakeholder consultation, and takes chemicals policy reform the next step: if you manufacture a product in California that is identified as containing a Chemical of Concern, as a manufacturer, you are obligated to find a safer alternative.
